Our Furnished Apartment @ 199 Mass Ave is a great success!

Hi I just wanted to take a moment and Thank you for the wonderful things you are doing for Amyloidosis patients and their families. My husband Joe was diagnosis with Primary Amyloidosis with renal, nervous system and bone marrow involvement and we are going to Boston for treatment on July 27th and thanks to you we now have a wonderful place to stay. We had know idea how and where we were going to stay for his treatment. When we came to Boston for his evaluation we stayed at the Hampton Inn. That week alone had cost us over $1,000.00 in travel expenses. When they called us on the Friday we came home and told us we needed to be back in two weeks to start treatment it was wonderful news that we could start treatment right away but we knew we would be strapped in trying to find a place to stay we had already talked to the Hampton Inn and we knew it was going to cost us about $4800.00 for the hotel we had no idea where we were going to come up with that kind of money after already going through most of our savings with Joe being out on disability. Then they told us about Secure Harbor and it was like a blessing from God and a million pounds lifted from our shoulders. Joe and I both have said once we get through his treatment we want to get involved and help Secure Harbor with getting the word out on Amyloidosis and in fund raising for this great organization. We will be making a donation of our own once we get back home. Many thanks again and God Bless Thank you so much for picking up the parking we were just talking about it last night that we needed to set aside money for the monthly parking fee. I can't thank you enough for how much worry your organization has lifted off my shoulders, and I can concentrate on taking care of Joe.
